I did ios18.6 iodate and now CarPlay isn’t working in my bmw x3. I reset phone and car system in car and still it s not working

Update: I updated to 18.6.2 and went into accessibility > Side Button > switch to Classic Control and then back to Siri. CarPlay is now working again. Not sure if it was the update or switch that fixed it but I did try the switch prior to the update and it didn’t do anything.

If you checked for updates to the infotainment system firmware, and then un-paired from the infotainment system and also un-paired from the iPhone, then removed any add-on VPN apps, and then re-paired CarPlay, and problems persisted, contact your dealer, and then Apple Support.

Having the same issue with my BMW as well.
I have exactly the same issue with my BMW X1 (U11) after having updates iOS 18.6.2.
CarPlay not working after iOS 18.6 update with BMW X3
