On IPad, sharing destination icons missing

On my iPad 10.5" (iOS 17.7.9 —> per Apple, my version of iPad cannot be updated to iOS 18 at this time), when I select the share icon in Photos and Safari, most of the sharing destination icons are missing (eg, I can't share *from* Photos or Safari *to* Facebook…the FB icon is missing). Only the Airdrop, Messages, Mail, News, Books, and More destination icons are showing. When I select “More,” only the same destination options (Airdrop, Messages, Mail, News, and Books) are options.

I’ve cleared my Safari history. I’ve restarted my iPad. I believe this has been happening since I updated to iOS 17.7.8. I have no idea what backup would restore the missing share destination icons.

I have ~397gb of storage left.

Please advise. TIA

Hello Halloweenbaby,

I suggest tapping more while in the Share Sheet, then tap Edit and see if the other apps you mentioned are visible. Toggle them on and add them to your favorites list, then tap Done to save your changes.

So sorry for the delay’s response. Make sure the apps you want to share to are installed on your iPad.

Sounds like this is an issue others have experienced as I’ve found another thread about this same topic: Missing apps in sharesheet iOS 18.1.1 - Apple Community

It sounds like it may be a glitch, I suggest deleting and reinstalling Facebook and restarting your iPad. Restart your iPad - Apple Support This might fix the issue.

Selecting “More” does not yield any options other than airdrop, Mail, books.

I also tried to share from photos, notes, iMessage, books, etc, and the all the previously available destination icons are also missing.
