unable to pair sony headphones to new iphone

Had no trouble pairing Sony headphones with my iPhone 15 Now I have switched to a 16e I’m unable to pair it’s so frustrating the headphones don’t even enter the list on Bluetooth. Every neighbours tv’s etc comes up but no headphones, grateful for help.0

2 things are required

the headset can't have an active connection with another device at the time, and headset like to auto connect when turned on, so if I am to pair mine with something else I turn off the bluetooth of my iphone to pair with the other device
the headset needs to put into pairing / discovery mode to even show up on your iphones bluetooth list (this is only required first time one connect to a device, suppose its so your next door neighbor do not connect to bluetooth stuff in your apartment to prank you.
