How can I put new owner’s info on old SIM card in iPhone 11?

I reset my old iPhone 11 and I gave it to my daughter. It still has the old SIM card in it. How can we put her information into this SIM card so it will work for her? The phone is unlocked. What steps do we need to take?

Talk to your carrier...

physical sims are typically replaced. This is between you and the carrier for a way forward.

a iPhone 11 is eSIM capable, you can get away from the physical SIM card; no matter call your carrier for support to provision or re-provision this device.

in the early 199X days phones stored contacts and SMS and the likes in sim cards, but with the rise of smartphones the only purpose of a sim card is to tie the unique IMEI number of the phone to your contact with your carrier. so tranfering a sim card do not make any sense unless you are transferring your cellular service account to another person, and as far as I know that is not a thing, people make a new account with the carrier and add that to the phone
