AirPods 4 ANC issues when using with Apple Watch Ultra 2

I bought both the AirPods 4 ANC and Apple Watch Ultra 2 and when I pair them after a few seconds of play the sound starts to stutter making it impossible to listen to music.

I contacted Apple support and the fix was to force restart the watch, however this did not stick and I basically would have to force restart my watch everyday which I won’t do. All my 3rd party earbuds work great whether soundcore or Bose but it is a right shame that the Apple specific ones do not work, and do not have a permanent fix. So if you have an Apple Watch Ultra that you use without the phone you are left to have to use 3rd party earbuds… ok so be it, I was going to buy some AirPods Pro 2 or 3 if they get released soon but it’ll be a pass for now and I have opted for soundcore liberty pro 4 which have a case you can use to modulate anc and sound generally without access to the phone, perfect for use with Apple Watch Ultra 2 right... Why can’t Apple give us a fix that works…
