Remove safety filter on cleanup in photos

I am an adult. I do not want my photos censored with a “safety filter”, I want to touch them up.

I have scoured my phone for a way to turn it off, and nothing.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Try to zoom in on the spot you want to clean up, before you click it to retouch it. Then you should be able to remove small blemishes, at least in the most recent version of iOS 18.

However, it is tricky to avoid triggering the nanny filter.
