Using Nobility and Apple iPad Air and lines through letters

So I write with my Apple Pencil and all of a sudden a lines is drawn through my letters. Is so irritating that I have to keep reversing the last action to remove the line. I started thinking maybe I’m heavy handed and I am causing the pixels to do this but I now write lightly and it still happens. Has this happened to anyone else? I want to upgrade my iPad but I don’t want to have to pay any unnecessary money if there is really nothing wrong. Please advise. See below on what I’m talking about. I feel like screaming.
