how to use ampersand character on spanish magic keybord

Dependerá de que idioma tienes seleccionado en el iPad para ingresar texto.

Si esta seleccionado el idioma español el ampresand se encuentra en shift(mayúscula)+6. Si tienes algún otro idioma seleccionado, entonces podría estar en otra combinación de teclas.

En ingles es shift+7 por ejemplo.

Los caracteres impresos en las teclas, no determinan lo que se mostrará en pantalla, es solo una ayuda visual.

Asegúrate de tener el idioma correcto seleccionado en al barra de ingreso de texto en la parte baja de la pantalla.

& should be printed on the 6 key on your Magic keyboard. If not, what is printed there?

Whether the character is printed on the key or not is not really relevant.

The key will print whatever the input language the iPad is set to defines for that key.

In English shift+6 prints : ^ even if the key cap has an & on it.

It can help us better figure out what the problem might be. If his hardware keyboard doesn't have & on the 6 key, it's not Spanish. If it does have that, but produces something else, then his software keyboard is not set to Spanish. Either way he would need to make some settings changes to fix things.
