Will removing my old iPhone from my Apple account remove the Lock Screen password?

I have an old iPhone 6 that is still connected to my Apple ID but I’ve unfortunately forgotten the password for it. It’s not connected to my find by iPhone and it had been reset so Touch ID doesn’t work. I’m worried if I remove it from my Apple ID I won’t be able to open it ever again and I don’t have access to a computer for iTunes.

So now I’m wondering if I remove the iPhone 6 from my Apple ID would it remove the lock screen password or would it remain locked?

No, removing it from your Apple account won't magically remove the Lock Screen passcode. Those are 2 unrelated things.

You can restore it to factory settings and set it up again for that.

Once restored, it will request your Apple Account password to remove Activation Lock.

Also, the fact that it appears on your devices, means it is still connected to Find My (a.k.a, your Apple Account). Though it may not be reporting an actual location.

No. It will remain locked.

If you don't remember the passcode, the only way past that is to erase and restore the device.
