iPhone 8 Plus stuck on boot loop after charging overnight

The phone's battery was completely drained and I put it on charge overnight.

This morning, I noticed the screen only showed an apple logo on white background. Then it turned black and back to the apple logo over and over.

I tried force restart multiple times with no result (volume up, volume down, hold side button until apple logo appears again).

Then I put the phone in recovery mode and was able to update it through iTunes on my PC (was using Apple authentic USB-C to Lightning cable). Though nothing happened after that and the boot loop continued. Also I noticed that the line showing update progress on phone screen was stuck closer to the end for an unusuallly long time.

I wonder if it was caused by the update that came out the same night (IOS 18.6.2), but I don't know whether the phone tried to load it during the night or not.

The iPhone 8 Plus cannot run iOS 18, so it was not that. iOS 16 is as far as the iPhone 8 Plus can go.

When was the last time that you replaced the battery in the iPhone 8 Plus?

If you tap Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging......what is the reading for Maximum Capacity?
