iPhone 15 battery health drop from 99% to 96% in 17 days

I bought an iPhone 15 on March 10, 2025. On August 10, 2025, I saw that my battery health had dropped to 99%. Today, August 27, 2025, I noticed it has dropped to 96%. My cycle count is 234. Is this normal?

You are right on track. On average, there is a 1% drop for every 50 charge cycles. The drop is not linear, so some months will not drop at all and other months will drop more. No past drop is an indication of what you can expect in the future. Nothing to be concerned about.

If you use a Charge Limit and prevent the phone from charging to 100%, then the calibration will only happen when it does get a chance to charge to 100% so you would then see a larger than expected drop. Even when using a Charge Limit, the phone will occasionally charge to 100% for this calibration as long as you do not remove it from the charger.
