Incoming emails don't appear in Inbox

Most of my incoming emails don't show up in my Inbox on my iMac. They are there on my iPad and on my wife's MacBook. I can search for them on my iMac and they will show up, but they don't show up when they are sent - and they're not in Junk or Archive or any other mailbox
