New iPhone 16e stopped wireless charging after setting the phone on a metal work bench. Could this be the reason wireless charging stop working? If yes, is there a way to fix it ?

I did get an Apple Support check on my iPhone 16e & the wireless charging function works fine. The issue seems to rest with my ‘23 Santa Cruz. I now just get a flashing yellow light above the charging pad so it knows the phone is there but this last couple weeks, just won’t charge any more?
I have a similar problem in my Prius. Mine has a switch to turn charging on or off. What works is to put the phone on the charger with it off, then turn it on. My charger is a vertical slot that I drop the phone into. This may be different from yours.
Another possibility is a blown fuse in the car. Do the other USB ports work?
USB works just fine. Wireless fuse is fine. I tried your idea to shut the phone off then put it on the charging tray. It triggered the phone back on but that was it. Still have the flashing yellow light & not charging. Thank you for your ideas though.
