I have read the post regarding this issue, but I need some clarification on where the midi drivers are located for the Midimam Radium 61? I installed the new driver but still get the error message, maybe because I haven't removed the old driver. Since I can't search "driver", does anyone know where there located. I also wanted to dump my preferences but I'm not sure which ones to dump.

After finally tweaking things to the point where I think I have a stable system, I made one lil' change and got repeated "Timeout or Timer Inactive..." messages when booting Logic. I even got that error message several times when I tried to quit Logic (or what was left of it after it booted).

I think I know why this happened. It was cuz I made that teensy little change.

I mean, it was just one lil' change, shouldn't have really "changed" anything...

Right?

[SIGH]

But it did.

And then I fixed it.

And now I don't have the problem with timeouts anymore.

And here's what I think generates those timeout messages...

OK, first, I have a Unitor8+AMT8 MIDI interface. The lil' change I made was to move its USB connection to the computer from the FRONT of the G5 to the BACK. The result: problems.

I don't like problems. So I moved the MIDI interface's USB connection back to the front (and rebooted). And now, no problems.

So I think the moral of the story is that if you're using a USB 1.x interface (like my Unitor8+AMT8), don't plug it in to the USB 2.0 port. Instead, plug it in to the USB 1.x connector in the front.
