How can I remove the access of previous owner on iMessage on my iPhone?

I need to remove his access to my messages. I have already turned off my iMessage on my phone. I want to make sure I’m the only one getting my messages before I turn iMessage back on.

Go to Apple’s official site: Deregister iMessage.

Enter your phone number, and request a confirmation code.

Enter the code to remove the number from the previous Apple ID.

Sign out of any old Apple ID on the phone & now use your ID for iMessages.

Hope it will help!

iMessages (“blue bubbles”) are accessible to a specific Apple Account, rather than a specific device or phone number.

If you are the new owner of a previously used iPhone, then the previous owner should have properly reset the device, so that a new owner can set it up “as new”, with their own Apple Account instead of theirs.

SMS text messages (“green bubbles”) are accessible to a specific phone number, which should be unique to a phone (although select linked smart watches can share that same number, if the mobile service provider supports that). These text messages would appear in the same Messages app on iPhone as iMessages.
