I'm so sorry to hear that _ashy!

First, report the account compromise to Apple

Then, you can try to recover your old iCloud account:

  • Go to Apple's iForgot site (https://iforgot.apple.com) and enter your old email
  • Follow on-screen prompts to reset your password and regain access
  • If the attacker changed the recovery email/phone, you’ll be guided through Apple’s Account Recovery process

Also, make sure to check for lingering malware since your MacBook and iPhone were compromised

  • Make sure your new devices are updated to the latest iOS/macOS
  • Run a reputable antivirus/malware scanner on any other computers you use.
  • To avoid restoring backups that may be infected, set up new devices as “new” instead of restoring old backups.

Lastly, strengthen your account security to prevent further attacks on your new devices.

  • Enable two-factor authentication on your Apple ID immediately once you regain access
  • Change passwords for all linked accounts (email, banking, social media, etc.), since attackers often reuse credentials
  • Use a password manager (like the one Apple offers) to generate unique, strong passwords.

I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!
