Changing Apple ID email from Yahoo to iCloud

Hi there, i’ve been facing issues with my main and personal Yahoo email address. I’m thinking about creating a new iCloud email address.

would it be okay to change my Apple ID email from yahoo to the new iCloud email and also would i face any issues with my iCloud ? I mean everything is backed up into my iCloud so would it be automatically be linked with my new iCloud email address?

Yes, you can change the email used to identify your Apple Account by following these instructions and everything else stays “as-is” on your Apple Account.

Change your Apple Account primary email address - Apple Support

The only issue you could face if your Apple Account access becomes blocked for whatever reason in the future; you will not have access to your iCloud email to assist w/ recovery.

I would not use an iCloud address as your Apple Account identifier. As stated earlier, if you have issues with your account in the future, Apple may be trying to communicate with you using the email account with which you are having problems. Use a third party email provider.

Thanks a lot!

so what you are saying is that i won’t lose anything like my music, Game center, data on iCloud, and everything will be linked to my new iCloud email address that i will create and make it my primary email ?
