if you do not have an issue(?) then the rule of thumb is:


"if it ain't broke don't fix it."

No, you don't need MalwareBytes.


There are no viruses that can affect macOS. None. There are no known worms, other than the one that was patched against over a decade ago. There are lots of Trojans, but you must download, install and run them. They can't get on your Mac by themselves.
