Slow online PDF loading on M4 Pro Macbook Pro (MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1)

Hi,

I have a M4 Pro Macbook Pro 2025, running MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1. When I open online PDFs (Web-based links and DOIs), it is loading extremely slow (~ 5 to 10 min) (Both in Safari and Brave). Other websites open up normally. What may be the cause of this issue and ways of troubleshooting it. I will appreciate any directions and help provided.

Would it be possible to give us an example of a link that loads so slowly, so we can test?

I can't see why loading a pdf would, per se, be slower than loading anything else (unless it were a really massive file, which does not appear to be the case).
