"Pairing Unsuccessful" iPad is not supported

Trying to sync my iPhone 13 Pro with my new iPad mini A17 Pro to get ALL calendar invites on both devices. Events were missing once the initial setup of the iPad was complete. Both the iPhone and iPad come up with the same error message "Pairing Unsuccessful" iPad not supported and I have confirmed both are on 18.6.2, both devices sitting next to each other, both devices have been turned on/off several times, and no other pairing is going on at the time of this pairing. Have triple checked their Calendar iCloud settings. Don't know what I am missing. Cannot get ALL calendar invites on my iPhone to pair with the iPad.

Are you trying to pair the two devices using Bluetooth? If so, that's not something that's supported.

The easiest way to keep things like calendars in sync is to use iCloud.

Pairing over bluetooth is not supported or required between iPhones and iPads. And will not sync your calendar regardless.

To sync calendar entries, the account that holds the Calendar must be added to both devices, and the calendar switch must be toggled on in Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Calendar ➜ Accounts ➜ Account Name ➜ Calendar.
