Volume keeps going up by itself, extremely annoying. I’ll have silent mode on and volume off and sometimes it will go half way up by itself. At times it has blasted on full volume in a quiet room. Had this same issue with my iPhone 12. Tried restarting phone, completely factory resetting it, using it with my case off, still no solution.

So how soon after the Genius Bar / tech told you they couldn't find anything wrong.......did the problem occur again for you?
You have done all that the shop asked. You are not going to be able to solve the problem by yourself.
If the issue is intermittent and unpredictable, you may need to leave the phone with the tech until it acts up. I can' think of any other possible way to get the phone working correctly again.
I would take the phone back in to the shop and ask to speak with the Service Manager.

They tested the buttons and sensors and didn’t find any hardware issues. So they suggested I reset settings or reinstall iOS if it keeps happening. Wasn’t really much of a solution because I already did that after i got home. (Sorry I accidentally posted a comment two times.)
