Can I utilize the Military/Veterans Discount for the iPhone 17 preorder tomorrow morning?

I’m planning to preorder a new iPhone and I’d like to use the Veterans and Military discount through Apple’s dedicated site. I’ve already verified my eligibility through ID.me, but I’m wondering how it works specifically for preorders. Can I preorder a new iPhone on release day using the Veterans Store and still get the discount? Do I need to wait until general availability, or will the discounted pricing be live as soon as preorders open? I did notice the discounted pricing is reflecting on the site right now.
