Liquid Glass is a feature of macOS 26 Tahoe that will be released this coming Monday, September 15. Tahoe can be installed on an M1 MacBook Air. Apple generally supports major OS upgrades for Macs for at least 5 years, with another 2-3 years of security updates. For example, macOS 26 will run on some (higher end) 2019 Macs.
