When troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues please follow these basic steps:

  1. Unplug the router and modem from power for 2-3 minutes (yes I know your iPhone works fine) and then plug back in and wait for it to fully re-start.
  2. Restart the Mac in Safe Mode per the directions in the link. Please use a usb wired keyboard as wireless keyboards may not connect. Be patient, a Safe Mode restart can take up to 10 minutes to restart. Continue to hold down the Shift button until the computer fully starts in Safe Mode.
  3. Restart normally and then re-test.

By the way, if you have ANY of the following types of third party apps installed, they are almost certainly contributing to your problems. They are 100% unnecessary and do nothing that Mac OS does not already do so please uninstall them per the developers instructions:

  • Antivirus
  • Cleaning
  • Security
  • VPN
  • Maintenance
