Hey, should i upgrade to iOS 18.7, or go straight to iOS 26? Is there a right or wrong way to go about this, and is there any reason to update to iOS 18.7 instead of going straight to iOS 26?
Im asking because i see both in settings and im not too sure as to why.

If your iPhone allows you to update to iOS 18.7.1, but is not offering to update to iOS 26, that probably means that you have an iPhone XS, XS Max, or XR.

There is no need to update to 18.7 if you want to update to 26.
18.7 is primarily there for people who may have apps that have not yet been updated to be compatible with iOS 26. That usually applies mainly to corporate users with proprietary in house developed apps or specialized apps for specific lines of business.
