Handoff not working for clipboard between macOS Tahoe and iPhones

I have now tried this with two MacBooks (both updated to macOS Tahoe) and two iPhones... Handoff no longer works between devices. Copy text, from any app, on the MacBook, and attempt to paste it on the iPhone. The iPhone has no history of the clipboard.

Found the solution on redit! <https://www.reddit.com/r/mac/comments/1fo2976/solution_to_handoff_not_working_between_mac_and/>

Final Solution: Open Terminal on the Mac and enter the following commands:

   defaults delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.coreservices.useractivityd.plist
   killall useractivityd

(This deletes the useractivityd file and restarts the useractivityd process.)

Thank you to shesabadone on redit

I am not seeing this issue....macOS26 and iOS26

Have you shut down and restarted both devices(?) router/modem(?)

ref; Use Continuity to work across Apple devices

ref: Use Handoff to continue tasks on your other devices

I never said it was a "solution"; it is a trouble shooting step in an effort to resolve your issue.

For reference:

MacBook 16" M1 Pro - macOS 26.0 paired with iPhone 15 Pro Max - iOS 18.7 (unable to update work phone to iOS 26)

MacBook 14" M4 Pro - macOS 26.0 paired with iPhone 16 Pro Max - iOS 26.0

Neither work for Handoff or Continuity. It all worked fine prior to updating things to macOS 26 and iOS 26, but now nothing. I can't restart the router, on a work connection. Devices all rebooted multiple times.

Also, if the solution is reboot the router, there's something majorly wrong with these updates.
