iPhone 14 pro no sim card installed error after iOS 26 update

Hi! First time poster here and after battling with iOS 26 update twice on my iphone 14 pro I got the no sim card installed error. After finishing with the updates and reset the network and cellular data on factory settings, I could not get the sim to work (I tried sim from 2 carriers to no avail). Finally I recovered my device to 18.6.2 and to a previous icloud backup and all the settings were back to normal. Have you experienced anything like this specifically on iphone 14 pro after updating?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 18

I have already purchased iphone 16 pro and there this issue is not present, but on the previous phone as I said, I managed to revert to ios 18.6.2 through an easy method and got it working again. [After you have downloaded itunes, you visit (https://ipsw.me/) and choose the device and the firmware that corresponds to your device, you download the correct file (for example in my case it's this:)

pay attention to the green tick - it means that the sw is signed which makes it recognizable from itunes. (there are other sw versions with red X marks). Then once inside itunes, press shift + restore button and choose the file you have downloaded and begin.

Before all of this, make sure to have a solid backup on icloud as well as the find my option turned off. Hope that helps!]

Give this a go before anything changes again.

Please do NOT download ios 26. I have had this issue since beta and it was so bad I had to reset my whole iPhone to fix it. I have just upgraded to the official ios and still have this issue.

This means I have no access to calling it data until Apple decides to fix this. I get it not working over beta, but now I will have to factory reset my whole phone just because of a completely new software update.

ps I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max
