Safari search image is not functioning in mobile web view after upgrading to ios 28

Same here, had this issue on 18.6 and 18.7 (using iPhone 13). Whenever I click on an image in safari, it will scroll through every image above it until it reaches the first on the page. For example, if I search up “test” and click the third image that shows up under the images tab, it will briefly open the second image, then go to the first and stop there. It acts the same no matter how far deep in the image ui I click. All the images also show up in my search history, so I know that it goes through them individually.

I'm having the same problem except, when I select an image, it cycles through all of the images from the search and selects a random one like a game of roulette. It just started this morning, and I'm not even on IOS 26 yet. I haven't been given that option. I am currently installing IOS 18.7 to see if it fixes the issue. For me, it's not just Safari. It's Chrome as well. I won't submit this post until the update is complete, so I'll be able to let y'all know if it helps or makes it worse. I will also update as to if the IOS 26 update becomes available. Update has just completed with no change to the problem, but now IOS 26 is available. Updating again and will finish this post with the results. IOS 26 is installed and still no change to the problem. Perhaps it will be built into the next bug fix update they send out...

Just started having this problem a couple hours ago, if you plan on updating to iOS 27 then let us know if that changes anything.
