iPhone 14 Pro unable to make calls and send messages after iOS 26 update

I just updated my iPhone 14 Pro to ios 26 as soon as the official release came out yesterday the 15th of September 2025. Today I realised I cannot make calls as it keeps saying called failed and can't send messages as it keeps saying not delivered. How ever I realised I can receive calls and messages. I can also make FaceTime calls and WhatsApp calls and messages too. I have reset my Network settings, turned of the phone and removed the SIM card and inserted it back, I have put the phone on airplane mode and off but sadly nothing worked. I put in another SIM card to check if it was my SIM card but realised it was coming from the phone as the same problem continued. There is a bug somewhere causing this issue that urgently needs to be fixed.

FINALLY! I found a solution from this forum Call failed on iPhone 14 Pro Max after iO… - Apple Community and my iPhone 14 pro has started to work perfectly!!

My 14 Pro uses a dual sim version so this applies to this version

Pull out the sim tray, remove the sim card from the top and put it on the second slot under the sim tray. Do not put it back into the iPhone for now.

Put your iPhone 14 Pro on Airplane mode and restart by turning off your iPhone 14 Pro and turn it back on.

Now insert back you sim tray holding your simcard back into its slot and then turn Airplane mode off.

Everything should start working as normal, it worked for me!

Try a Forced Restart (something I do after EVERY iOS update) and see if that helps --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

No solution yet, I think iOS 26 is still very buggy for a public release. There are other problems I am seeing here I’m wondering how fast they can fix this as it is really very inconveniencing. I think they should not have released it with this much bugs.
