I just upgraded my series 8 watch to OS26, and suddenly the water lock feature is missing, I tried looking in the add icon thing and it is not showing in there either.

Press the side Button to open Control Panel
Scroll to the bottom and hit EDIT
Hit the (+) tool to add a new button
scroll down and look for the water droplet.
It’s there in WatchOS26, I just checked. However most users don’t really need a manual Water Lock because it is also activated automatically. Contrary to popular belief it does nothing for water resistance except to lock the screen. The only time it is really useful is to lock again then unlock to activate water clearing from the speaker if the first attempt was not adequate.

I had this problem too. I noticed a blank icon in the control centre which I removed and then was able to add the water lock icon back.
However, now when I select water lock it say ‘Enabled’ but after a second switches back to ‘Disabled’
edit: I just want to say that I use this feature to prevent me from accidentally ending a run workout before I am finished.
The icon was taken off completely , it is just showing a blank spot now.
