Tahoe: Missing items from right click menu
I am missing right click options on Tahoe. Only get info is available to me. No move to trash, rename or eject is specially what I was looking for.
MacBook Air, macOS 26.0

What is selected when you invoke the contextual menu?
The menu generated is based on whatever you have selected, the context.
For instance, if you just click in an empty space in a finder window and invoke the contextual menu, there should be no option to move the item or move it to trash or do anything else with an item. Get info would be available in that case because you can get info on the parent folder.
short of that being the cause, the only other thing I can think of is some third-party system modification interfering, as I have never had a problem with the contextual menu in Tahoe

Ctrl+click is Secondary click. There is no right- or left-click as there is only one button on an Apple mouse or Trackpad. You can assign gestures to achieve Secondary Click with the mouse or Trackpad, but the actual thing is Ctrl+click on the one mouse button.
You should check your settings for what gestures you have enabled for secondary click.
What are you secondary-clicking on? For example, if I secondary-click on my internal drive, I can Open and Get Info but not Move to Trash. But a folder on the Desktop has that option. An external disk (or disk image) has the Eject option, etc.

I understand how it works, but I’m saying it is not working. I don’t get the correct options when right click in anything. For example, for you when I try to eject an external drive that I used for Time Machine. There is no option to eject or to erase like previous when I write click a PDF I can’t rename it. I can’t move it to trash, etc..
Others have provided various troubleshooting steps. When you try Safe Mode, while in safe mode, see if it works correctly. If it does work, then you have a third-party system modification causing the problem.
Relaunching the finder app using the apple menu fixed the issue for me.
good luck 🙏✌️

Because you haven't said what trouble shooting steps you've taken some of this may be redundant. Restart your Mac in Safe Mode. When it's finished, restart it in normal mode.
Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
Create another user account and see if it works there. That's a purely diagnostic step.
I see it now requires Control to be held down at the same time as right clicking

I get all of those options. The first thing you should try is just restarting your Mac.

To use your specific example for Ejecting an External Drive
I beg to differ
When the user can produce verifiable evidence to support the assertion of the " Bug "
Then perhaps we will start to believe it to be a possible " bug "
Thus far, on 3 different machines each using macOS 26.0 Tahoe
I can not reproduce the missing Option to eject and external drive
In the case of your computer , this seems to be a local and unique issue and not win spread.
That has been done multiple times.
I think you beg to say you are not experiencing the bug. Right?
Right click isn't working in Preview either. I usually use it to move items to view in a new window.
My settings are correct and it's just a bug for me until an update. Annoying.
