I am unable to send an iMessage to my husband
When I go to send a message to my husband, it disappears. And now I am not receiving messages from him.

We do not know which hardware and software you are both using in order to help troubleshoot
It may be that your internet connecton is not active ... if so, restarting the modem may help..
The software in use may need updating to the newest compatible OS version.
Restarting a computer or device can often restore order when something is not working as expected.
There are many possible causes ... and knowing which may provide the solution.
iMessages use wi-fi from Apple device to Apple device, so having a strong wi-fi signal is best
however cellular data may be needed if one of you has an Android phone or a PC.
Eg: For an iPhone with iOS 26 installed: View or change cellular data settings on iPhone - Apple Support
Else: You may have your device set in low-data mode.
.if so, you could try turning low-data mode off, when sending the message.
