Seems a free trial needs to be cancelled at least 24 hours before it expires, if you do not want to be charged.

We are all Apple users, like yourself, in the community, so no-one here can access your accounts or details, (all of which need to be kept private, in accord with community guidelines).

If the cancellation has gone through: you can try requesting a refund. Apple may or may not approve it.
