Launchpad no longer part of new MacOS Tahoe 26

I just updated my mac to MacOS Tahoe 26. I immediately noticed that Launchpad had disappeared and an "Apps" folder now takes its place, so easy access to those apps on the Mac that were accessible in launchpad can only be opened via the application menu. In addition, the majority of apps in the new folder only show as being iphone apps. I spoke with Apple Support today and found that several others have already complained about this, and they are letting the developers know about that specific concern. You can do a finder search for the app if you remember its name. Maybe it's just me, but I had close to 150 apps, including those which are not third party apps, placed in Launchpad in an order that all related apps were in one place for each page of the launchpad. If anyone else has found a work around, let me know.

Launchpad is not available in macOS 26 Tahoe. Instead, Apple has replaced it with a Spotlight-based application library similar to that on iOS. To have Apple consider your feedback on this issue, submit it here:

Feedback - macOS - Apple

A possible workaround might be the AppGrid Launcher app (Mac App Store link).
