Apple Sports widgets disappeared when updating to iOS 26 (and watch OS 26).
It was working live in Smart stack on both Apple Watch 11 and iPhone 16 before the update.
There is no widget to select for Apple sports for lock screen.
Toggling live update does nothing.
The app itself works.
The Yahoo Sports (sucks) widget works on both watch and lock screen.

Yes, I tried everything I could think of..
There was yahoo sports widget to add but no Apple Sports.
I should not have had to because it was already there before the update.
I gave up. But then 24+ hours later, it just showed up on Watch (and on MacBook Air) with the start of an MLB game. Only thing I can think of is settings didn't change until start of new event.
My only continuing complaint is I don't see a Sports widget on the iPhone when trying to customize the lock screen
