After upgrading macos26, the 15 video wallpapers were not deleted, but saved in duplicate.

The following are the storage locations for 15 and 26.

15: /Library/Application Support/com.apple.idleassetsd/Customer

26: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials

The same video wallpaper can be found in both folders, which takes up a lot of disk space.

Due to the fact that I used random full arial wallpaper, it resulted in all being downloaded. There's no problem with that, but after upgrading to version 26, the path for video wallpaper changed. The old 15 version is still retained, and I have manually deleted the wallpaper folder for version 15, which has freed up an additional 50G of disk space.

I suspect that is shared space not duplicate space

You can try deleting them if it is an issue—I believe unused video & wallpapers are purged over time by the macOS if you manually downloaded a plethora of content. So maybe it is not an issue.
