How do I to copy music from ipod to iphone

I have an iPod 5th gen.

I have an iPhone 16.

I do not have iTunes (as recommended in many of the solutions on this site).

Music has synced most, but not all (not sure how many, but probably 200 as a guess). I have no idea why, but maybe these were ones I may have originally copied from my CD library or purchased through Amazon - no idea which or what, but I can't get them off the iPod.

I have spent hours searching this site with no solution, or a solution I totally do not understand. I can't imagine that Apple (being the company that makes things simple and just work) would intentionally make this so difficult, so it has got to be me.

Could someone PLEASE help me to get this music moved? I have been at this off and on for over six months. If I have to get something from the AppStore, that is fine. I do not download outside of the AppStore.

Thank you for any help.

Let's get the bad news out of the way first. There is no way to directly transfer music from an iPod to an iPhone.

The first thing you need to do, is get the music out of the iPod and into iTunes or the Music App on a computer, Mac or PC. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is an app for that available in the Mac App Store though.

After you have done that, then you can sync that music from the computer to the iPhone.

iMazing is recommended for this, though it is not free, you do get a Free trial, to see if it works for you.

Once the music has been integrated into the iTunes Library or the Music App library it can be synced to the iPhone.

If you are subscribed to Apple Music or iTunes Match and you have Sync Library turned on, then it will match or upload the music in the library and make it available to all other devices signed into the same Apple ID as the computer and that have the Sync option Library turned on. Do note, if this option is turned on, direct syncing as explained in the link above is not possible, but not necessary in that case anyway.
