Does anyone’s device frame drop while gaming after iPad OS 26?

While playing games on my iPad running iPadOS 26, I notice occasional lag and frame drops. Most of the time, the gameplay is smooth at 60fps. However, at certain points, the frame rate suddenly drops to around 20fps.

To temporarily fix this, I turn *Game Mode* off and then back on again. This brings the performance back to normal (60fps). This behavior started after updating to iPadOS 26

I suspect there may be a bug in Game Mode affecting performance stability in this version of the ipad os 26
