Airpods Pro 2 current firmware version of 6F21

Hello,

I can't get my Air Pods 2 Pro to update to the latest version that was pushed out with IOS 26 . The Airpod pro are currently on version 6F21. See attached screenshot with that version and he SN of my Airpods as well.

I have connected the airpods to my Iphone 16 pro max

I connected the Airpods to charging souce

I left the airpods next to the phone for well over many hours and no firmware update happened

I then reset my airpods and forgot them on my Iphone 16 pro max

I reconnected the airpods as new

I connected the power source to the Airpods

I waited several hours and no new firmware was download or updated to the airpods

Any suggestions or further support would be appreciated

I think apple needs to update this process

such as after airpods are connected to the Iphone (make a check for firmware update below the airpods settinsg itself, not have to wait for this process to update itself.
