When I open any window (even top menu bar) it loses its focus (in case of menu bar it just closes) after some time (random). I cannot use anything with text input for example, because focus is switched randomly when I type something in.
This is a very major issue for me, because my computer is literally unusable right now.

Yes indeed, there seems to be multiple issues causing the same symptom. My post was trying to emphasise that there are other causes for the same symptom as well as Bluetooth.
I have now confirmed for sure that it was Logitech G-Hub causing loss of focus on my own Mac Mini desktop, simply by stopping G-Hub. I'm no longer seeing the issue after waking up the computer after it has been in sleep mode. (which is when the issue had been kicking in for me)
The thing that Logitech G-Hub has in common with other software is that it runs a background service that monitors mouse and keyboard input. That seems to have started malfunctioning after Tahoe was patched.
Regarding Bluetooth, I found that Bose multi-path Bluetooth simply doesn't work with Apple devices anyway, even before Tahoe. When I have my headphones paired with both my iPhone and Mac Mini the audio tends to break down into unintelligible noise, and can only be fixed by fully reconnecting. Used to happen with my old Intel Mac Mini and still happens with the M4 model. So I've stopped usign multi-path and only pair with one device at a time.

From the various posts I think its clear that the problem is third party software, but not one specific package.
I get the impression that something subtle changed in the Tahoe 26.2 patch which some third party vendors haven't yet adapted their software for. I expect problems will go away as vendors release patches for their own software.
I'm running Logitech G-Hub on my own desktop like some of the other comments. Have not had any issues at all with G-Hub before, and have only seen this focus problem after the last Tahoe patch was installed.

Have you shut down and restarted more than once since your upgrade to Tahoe...(?)
What apps exactly you do not say.
Try quitting the problem app and relaunch it holding the Shift key down and compare your results.
View open windows and spaces in Mission Control on Mac
try turning off the bells and whistle here and get back to terra firma, and compare your results

I have another solution. Use CleanMyMac to rid your Mac of accumulated junk and detritus. Then Shut Down (not just Restart) the Mac. That worked for me.
This was it! You don't even know how creative I had to get to disable it with the admin credentials but it worked once I arm wrestled it in! THANK YOU!!! Saved me a reinstall. BOO: FORTICLIENT!
Im not sure how to reproduce, but I have a ticket open with Apple. Currently running in safe mode to see if it manifests in this mode... Hopefully enough stuff will work for e to be productive this way

All apps, even System preferences and top menu bar behave like this. Only spotlight does not lose focus.
I restarted/rebooted my computer more than once -- this issue persists.
I turned off all bells and whistles -- no effect.
I have the same issue on M4 Pro 24GB.
The fix for me was to disable Forti client from App Background Activity in Login Items & Extensions:

You should not use JUNK to remove junk.
This "cleanmymac" thing is one of the worst pieces of **** that you could install in your mac. Just don't.
Noticing since Tahoe 26.2, it's not focusing on Windows, when I switch to another app; it doesn't appear to happen with Apple apps though, only 3rd party apps like Firefox, Adobe Reader...
It's as if the focus would still be on the window from the last app, not correctly switching to the app you've actually switched to.
Also happens when switching from Apple apps to non-Apple apps (like from Apple mail to Firefox).
In my case not... But also think it doesn't happen consistently, just checked back on another MacBook (also on 26.2), where this isn't occurring, so - let's ignore it for now, not too serious anyway :)
