iPhone 17 Pro's Find My not showing friends' locations after iOS 26 update

Friend had this issue, this is what fixed it:

Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy

As stated, this will reset Location & Privacy settings, but it did fix the 'no location found' issue. Hope this helps!

After getting a new iPhone 17 with iOS26, my children's locations were not showing, just saying No Location. I did everything suggested (deleting, resetting..etc.) and nothing helped. Then my son called me to try and help. As I was talking to him I thought I would check again his location through his message profile, and now he was showing up. I got off the line to confirm in the FindMy app, and there he was but my daughter's phone was still No location. So I had my daughter call me, and after about a minute on the phone with her, now her location was showing. In short, what worked for me was: them calling into my new number and staying on the line for several minutes.

I figured it out! If anyone still needs an answer- upon sharing your location through iMessage you still have to go to the FindMy app and on the bottom right click Me and then turn on share my location ! Hope this helps <3

We purchased two iPhones 17 pro max, and the ‘find my’ isn’t updating correctly. We see friends on our old 14pros and our iPads, but not all are showing on the new phones. One in particular has a verison phone plan vs we have Att. Don’t see how that would cause the issue however. It’s been 48 hours and they still show ‘no location found”. We called support yesterday, and were elevated to a higher level but haven’t received callback

The same thing is happening to me. I will give it some more time, but I activated my phone last night and this morning it still hasn't "fixed" itself.

The same issue is happening after using all the usual rest setting tips. Was working perfectly fine then stopped after I checked on it.

Same issue for me. I have 4 “friends” sharing location with. 2 work and two say no location. Then and I have tried everything.

New Pro17 Max is not off to a good start at all.
