How to open .jar file on macOS Tahoe?

I do some game stuff and want to open a .jar file, but whatever I do nothing happens. I double click the .jar file a first time and an error pops up saying something like "Check Console for possible error messages related to (file)". I check Console, however, to find nothing there. When I double click on it a second time nothing happens. I also tried opening the file with JavaLauncher, but no matter how many times I try, nothing happens. This worked fine a year ago, but now absolutely nothing happens? Even in Activity Monitor nothing seems to happen.

Please help me fix this issue as I really want to work on this project of mine.
