YouTube app 20.37.5 not working with AirPlay

After updating to YouTube version 20.37.5, AirPlay stopped working.




  • Device: ipad pro 4th generation IOS 18.7



  • AirPlay works fine from Safari, Chrome, and other apps.



  • Only the YouTube app fails to connect.



  • Restarting devices and reinstalling the app did not fix the issue.


Can anyone confirm if this is a bug in the latest YouTube app update?

YouTube App 20.38.4 for the iPad just arrived. This release addresses the Airplay to Apple TV. Yea! Airplay is working to TVOS 18.6. I see there’s a TVOS update to 26.0. I’m going to hold off on that for now
