Playlist folders all expand if doing anything with playlists - Tahoe 26.0

I have playlist folders with many playlists within them. Since the upgrade to Tahoe 26.0, whenever I open one of the folders to get to a playlist, within seconds all of the folders under Playlists expand, displaying a long scrolling list of all the folders and playlists. Only the playlist folders I have opened should be expanded, not all playlist folders. This defeats the purpose of the folders.

this is a weird "fix" that i accidentally just found: was moving a smart playlist from one folder to another, and when i had – all the folders were closed.

no idea what happened there.

but then when i re-open one folder, they all pop open again. AND my personal default view of my smart folders (as albums) has been set to "as playlists". this is the awful way OS upgrades used to mangle my Music settings, with every **** upgrade. how hard can it be to ensure a person's settings are left alone?

Same issue here. It's been doing it on iPad for a while, since MacOS 26 it's doing it on Mac too.

Also, when adding to / removing songs from playlists, random expand / collapse of all folders happens. Which is tedious.
