I just purchased the iPhone air literally yesterday. I noticed that even though my volume is turned up at the max, and my ringtone is on, the typing sound is VERY low. Like to the point where I can barely hear myself typing even when I’m in a quiet room. Everything else is loud, it’s just the typing sound on my keypad. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it supposed to be low, or should I return it and get a new one?

In Settings > Sounds & Haptics - do you have change with buttons turned on? If you do, turn that off. When you're in an app which you type, swipe down from the Top Right Hand side of your iPhone and look at the volume slider. Turn it up if you want to hear keyboard sounds at a louder volume.

One final setting to check. Settings > Generla > Keyboards - Is Sound turned on? If yes, then take your new phone to Apple and see what they say.
I would suggest that you return it for a new one and test it before you leave the store.

Yeah I’m going to have to take it to an Apple Store this week to change it. I didn’t know if it was normal or not
