White Menu Bar background in MacOS 26 Tahoe

I recently updated my iMac from MacOS Sequoia to MacOS Tahoe. All of the new Liquid Glass theme changes seem to have been made except the backgrounds to the Menu Bar and the Dock. The Menu Bar has a white background versus no background and the Dock has a gray background instead of the clear glassy one. Any suggestions on how I might correct this?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Here are the settings prevented my Menu Bar and Dock backgrounds from looking like MacOS 26 Liquid Glass.

"If you're seeing a stark effect, then in System Settings > Accessibility > Display you have Reduce Transparency set to ON (or Increase Contrast, which forces Reduce Transparency to be ON)."

Thank you again...

Make some change here and compare your results:

Apple does not respond to bug reports. In this case, I highly doubt that it's a bug.

The menu bar background effect is pretty subtle:

If you're seeing a stark effect, then in System Settings > Accessibility > Display you have Reduce Transparency set to ON (or Increase Contrast, which forces Reduce Transparency to be ON). With that on, if System Settings > Appearance, Appearance setting is set to Dark you get a solid black menu bar (and dock), and if it's set to Light then you get a solid light gray menu bar (and dock), like this:

As they say, it's not a bug...it's a feature.

The only other possible explanation is that you're using a non-Apple desktop image with a white bar across the top. But my money is on the Accessibility settings. Let us know if that fixes it.
