Dock icons display issue after updating to Tahoe 26

Try shutting down your Mac then booting it back up (not the same thing as a restart).

if that doesn’t work, see if the problem is present when you boot in safe mode, which disables 3rd party extensions and performs some system cleanup.

if that corrects the issue, reboot normally, and see if it’s still fixed.

If a Shut down and restart does not sort the issue you can try

from the Terminal.app reset the Dock, copy and paste:

defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall Dock

rebuild /customize your Dock as you see fit.

An alternative would be to reinstall the macOS— easy enough
