How to turn off Focus mode on iPhone 14 Pro Max?

On my iPhone 14 Pro Max, I just updated it to the new system before the iOS 26. Whenever I try to turn the focus off, it gives me a menu of different focuses to use for specific length of time, but not an option for “off”. Does anyone know where this is located? I’d like to turn it off. I’ve already selected people who can contact me even though the focus is on. Please help.

Where are you trying to turn off the focus exactly?

To turn off an active Focus, go to Control Center, tap on the Focus icon, then on the focus you want to turn off.

An Active focus will have "On" or "On Until..." under the name. If no Focus there has that, then they are all turned off. Also the Focus icon will just say "Focus" if no Focus is turned on. If a Focus is turned on, the focus icon in control center will show the name of that Focus.

In Control Center, tap on the icon next to "Do Not Disturb" (or whatever the name of the focus is). Don't tap on the name. Don't press and hold. If you just tap on the icon, it will turn off the current focus. The word will change "Focus." That's how you know it's off.

Thank you both for the suggestions. That’s what I was doing. I pulled it down from the right side of the phone and then I would tap the focus that was on and then it would go off but it wasn’t doing it this time. It would take me to the control center within settings, and make me choose either a time frame for it to be on then off, and people that could break through the focus. There was no option for “off”.

Surprisingly, when I went to the control center after reading the replies, the focus was off and I don’t know why or how that happened. But now I will update to the 26 version. Thank you again.
