How can I fix the greyed-out Personal Hotspot on my iPhone 17 Pro running iOS 26?

Hello! I recently switched over to Apple from Android. Previously on Android, I was able to use my hotspot just fine.

I'm on the iPhone 17 Pro, with iOS 26.0. My personal hotspot button is greyed out and I cannot allow others to join.

I've looked through this forum and have tried the following:

turn off Wi-Fi
Restart my phone
Reset network settings

None of this worked.

Hi, I had the same issue. The fields in the Mobile Data Network section for

Personal Hotspot were empty, so I entered my carrier's information, and

now the hotspot works.

Report this Bug Fix to Apple:

Do your Part: These are just user-to-user forms. Apple barely reads the forums as it is on their own time and will. Apple will know nothing of this concern, if you do not spread the word to them. So, report it to Apple. They wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear about this, the more likely they will look into, knowing what is going on. They will know knowing of this fix, if you don't report it to them.
