macOS 26 Tahoe Time Machine backups Time Machine backups not working on my NAS Synology. I use SMB. Sparsebundle is created on my NAS time machine folder but after preparng it ends with a message "backup disk is not available - try again"

Another user reported feedback from Synology indicating that special characters in the name of the backup are the problem, Sequoia tolerated them but Tahoe does not. For example, John_Backup would be fine but Jøhn_Backup would not.

Probably explains why some people are having issues whereas my TM backups to a Synology DS223j have been working fine on Tahoe.
